Efter: Community Shield

United vann som bekant Community Shield genom att besegra Chelsea med 3-1 efter mål av Valencia, Hernandez och Berbatov. Här är några av nyckelfigurernas tankar efter matchen.

Sir Alex Ferguson var förstÃ¥s nöjd efter matchen. Mest pratade han om spelarnas form inför ligapremiären pÃ¥ mÃ¥ndag. Han ifrÃ¥gasatte vitsen med att spela landskamper bara nÃ¥gra dagar innan ligapremiären, även om det kan gynna formjagande spelare som Rooney och Park. Han hade ocksÃ¥ beröm över till andra halvlekens anfallspar – snabbhet och mÃ¥lsinne hos Hernandez, teknik och hjärna hos Berbatov.

MotstÃ¥ndartränaren Ancelotti var inte allt för besviken efter matchen och erkände att United var det bättre laget. Han tycker att Chelsea är en bit frÃ¥n normal form men menar att matchen mot United hjälper till där. Han passade ocksÃ¥ pÃ¥ att berömma den “fantastiska spelaren” Paul Scholes.

Tactically we played too slow first half but this can happen at the start of the season. It’s impossible to ask our players to be quick after ten days training before the start of the season. They have to improve their condition. It was important for them to play 90 minutes so this is a positive.

Nemanja Vidic, för dagen kapten i United, pratade om hunger, energi, vikten av att vinna och om vad som komma skall. Han pekade också på att det trots allt är en träningsmatch och att det viktigaste är att få alla spelare i form.
