Enligt Sunday Mirror är det klart att Wayne Rooney säljs redan i januari. Det är klart att det är en möjlighet även om jag skulle gradera chanserna till högst 2-3 procent. En fin poäng som Simon Mullock gör i slutet av sin artikel är att Rooney ska ha blivit imponerad av mottagandet som Tevez fick av Manchester City:
“That would appear to put cash-rich City in pole position to strike another devastating blow on their bitter rivals. Owner Sheikh Mansour is desperate to sign another stellar name following Robinho’s failure to make an impact at Eastlands – and Rooney fits the bill. Rooney was impressed by the hero’s welcome given to Carlos Tevez 18 months ago when he quit United to join the City revolution.
A Rooney move to City would be the ultimate act of revenge on Ferguson.”
Okej att en mindre begåvad lirare som Tevez byter rött mot blått, men Rooney har ju redan gjort det bytet fast åt andra hållet. Och även om inte heller Rooney vinner några frågesporter mot Ferguson har han garanterat så pass hög hjärnkapacitet att det bytet är så osannolikt att det inte ens går att skriva om. Eller det går ju, men det är som att skriva att Arnold Schwarzenegger skulle bli guvernör i Kalifornien. Eller.. .skit samma.
Då är i alla fall Paul Hayward på tidningen Observer mer rätt ute i sin kolumn i dag:
