Igår förlorade vi en hjälte. Nobby Stiles finns inte längre med oss. Mittfältskrigaren – Europacupvinnare, engelsk mästare och världsmästare – gjorde 395 matcher för Manchester United åren 1960 till 1971. Ett par decennier senare var han även juniorlagstränare i klubben. Efter Stiles bortgång strömmade givetvis hyllningarna in och här samlar vi en del av det.

It is also worth remembering that he got the better of the great Eusebio on three occasions in terms of his performance and marking – 1968, of course, and the 1966 World Cup Semi Final and his marking in the 1964 Nations' Cup tie. He could play a bit, as you can see on YouTube.
